# Qoi

> Qoi gives AI agents their own non-custodial crypto wallet with spending guardrails. The agent connects over MCP (Model Context Protocol) and can pay for x402-protected, pay-per-use resources. A human sets a daily, weekly or monthly allowance; every payment is risk-scored, and anything outside policy waits for one-tap human approval on the Qoi Guard app. Keys stay on the user's device. Payments settle on Base (an Ethereum layer 2). Built by Qoi Pond Ltd, a UK-registered company (Company No. 17206307).

Key facts:
- Non-custodial: Qoi never holds, routes or touches user funds; it is a governance layer (policy, risk assessment, approvals).
- Agent integration: any MCP-capable agent (Claude, ChatGPT agents, custom agents) can request payments through the Qoi MCP server; x402 is supported for pay-per-use APIs.
- Human control: allowances are enforced before a payment moves; unusual payments require explicit approval; unanswered requests expire and nothing executes.
- Audit: approvals, declines and payments are recorded in an exportable history.
- Status: free macOS alpha available now; iOS TestFlight invites rolling out; public launch planned for 2027.
